HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!!

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

R.I.P On April 21st, 2008 baby Timmy passed in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his "mommy" Ms. Jenevive Thornton his mean ,terrible Uncle Jimmy and his loving grandparents. Arrangements will be handled by the Roseville garbage collectors on Tuesday April 28th.
This is what happens when your little brother gets a hold of your dolls. Jimmy tore the head off and pulled the stuffing out of poor baby Timmy's head. After many long minutes of crying, the only words that came out of Jen's mouth were "can I get another doll tomorrow?".

I love the smell of Play-Doh!!!!! I think every parent gets a little excited when their child plays with it for the first time as they open the container at nose level. I remember when Jenna got her first set, Jim and I couldn't wait to get our hands in it. Finally an excuse to play with it again. Both of my kids love it, and its funny to watch them play with the same sets we had. Jimmy likes to make "snakes" with the extruder (I looked that one up on the Play-Doh site) and Jen likes to use the barber shop set. It never fails, all of the colors get mixed together at the end. Just another excuse to buy more.

Happy Easter from the Thornton's!!! We hope you had a great holiday. The kids had a full day with baskets and hidden eggs from the bunny, Easter brunch with the Doptis side of the family and an egg hunt and dessert at Aunt Julie's house.

Spencer, Jenna, Kaiden, Lanie and Jimmy at Aunt Julie's house

Jenna, Ryan, Jimmy and Cody at Easter brunch.

This year was a little easier with Jimmy being almost 3. He was able to gently put the egg into the dye as opposed to just dumping it in and getting it everywhere. Every year we just get the simple dye kit promising next time we'll get the fancy ones with glitter paint , dye tie and sand art. I just don't have the patience or the want of all the mess, but with the kids getting older it seems like the want to be more creative then just putting the egg in the dye for 30 seconds and letting them dry. So, next year it will be glitter, sand, stickers and puff paint........maybe.

One on Jimmy's new favorite shows is Bob the Builder. On Tuesday he was at Ram's Horn so we went to visit with him. His eyes were glued the entire time on Bob and he was excited when he came to our table for a picture.

On Saturday, we went to frankenmuth and stayed at Zhenders Spash Village for the night. I don't have any pictures inside the waterpark because it is impossible not to get drenched in there. Jen had a great time and more then made up for Jimmy who would not even get his feet wet. He wanted no part of any of it and when the choice was given to stay in the water park with daddy or go with me to the outlets, he gladly went with me. The kids loved the huge bed and Jen wanted room service so bad - she better get a good job. The next morning Jen and I got up and went back in as soon as the doors opened, let me just say that 9:oo am is too early and the water is too cold to be going down a water tube. I'm not sure if it's because its not heated through the night or if its just because no one had peed in it yet. On the way back up to our room, we found this huge donut for the boys. It was about 10 inches wide and was gone in a few minutes. All in all we had a good night away from home.

Jenna's school had their Spring Fling Dance on Friday. She was so excited to go to a real dance-I think she thought it would be like it is on High School Musical- so she was a little dissapointed that Zac Efron was not there. She danced the entire time with her friends and after they had a ice cream social in the cafateria.

Take a good look at this smile..hopefully it will be changing soon!!! Jenna's tooth is finally loose and she couldn't be happier. We went for her cleaing in October and Ms Julie took an x-ray to track her adult teeth. When she told Jen it might be up to 2 years before she would lose a tooth she was so disappointed. Saturday she kept telling me her tooth was hurting her and when I took a look her tooth was a little pushed forward. It wiggled and Jen giggled with glee. Since then she has been trying her hardest to get it out. We got my old tooth fairy pillow out and read a book about the tooth fairy and now we are just waiting! We'll keep you posted.

It's hard to believe he is almost 3 years old already...and what a little monster he can be!!!!He loves haming it up for the camera any chance he can get, but try to get a "nice" picture of him and it's impossible. But I love my little Jim Bobby horns and all!
