What's In The Wash Wednesday

Another Wednesday-another crap load of junk found in the washer. 2 Rice Krispie Treats wrappers. Something tells me that these did not come from my kids pockets but from their dad's. I don't even buy these and I know he eats them all day long at work from his desk stash.

A blue Matchbox car, a fireman Lego, 2 arcade tickets, a rock, a Foot Joy golf ball marker and a bottle cap...............

2 rubber bands and 3 glow in the dark Silly Bands...........

And the mother load of change this time. $1.40 ..................total so far $$3.15

Jimmy's 5th Birthday at Java Jungle

They just opened a new Jungle Java by our house - so of course we had to go check it out. While we were there, we decided to book Jimmy's party there. It's basically a jungle themed indoor play scape. They also have a basketball court, toddler area and laser maze. He had been counting down the days until his party.

Jimmy zipped on the zip line like a pro. From the minute we walked in, he was in the "jungle" We only saw him for the cake and to open his presents.

Our Florida friends Pat, Heather, Luke and Olivia were in town and were able to visit us there. Jimmy and Jenna were so excited to see Luke and Olivia again. They have been missing them since our week at Disney in October.

Jenna and Olivia eating their nuggets.

My cousin Becky and her daughter Emily playing on the interactive floor.

Cody and Jimmy running around like mad men.

And of course the Big Boys had to get their playing in.

A quick family picture before the birthday boy blows out his candles.

I had ordered the cake this year - only the 3rd birthday cake that I didn't make for my kids birthday- and didn't feel one bit bad about it. Jimmy had wanted vanilla cake with vanilla frosting and vanilla ice cream. He is a vanilla boy - very plain and simple with everything he does. He also asked if we could put "Happy Birthday Bubba" on the cake instead of Jimmy. Too cute!!

Five candles already!!! I can't believe how fast the time went by.

Jen was just happy with getting the giraffes head, not that she ate anything but the frosting.

And then there were a ton of presents. He got some Lego's, summer clothes, Captain America toys, Bakugans, WII games and Batman toys. Overall it was a great party. I'm guessing that all of the kids had a blast since we hardly saw any of them. We ended up staying and letting Jimmy and Jenna play until 8:30. Once we got home we had to tear open every gift and play with them all.

Third Grade - Here She Comes!!!!!!

While Jimmy's last day was on Monday, Jen had 10:30 am dismissal both Tuesday and Wednesday. This year she had Mrs Mack. Jen has lucked out in the teacher department - we have been very lucky to have always had great teachers.

Jenna, Morgan and Allie. This year they had been split in different classrooms, but are still good friends.

Jen had been invited to her friend Bella's house for a end of year shaving cream - water balloon party. They had so much fun making a huge mess.

By the end of the party, everyone was covered from head to toe.

Lots of shaving cream covered trampoline jumping , hot dog eating, water balloon throwing hanging with your friends party.

Happy 5th Birthday JimBobby !!!!!!!!!!!!

First picture of being 5 years old. I'm sure my kids hate the camera in their face first thing in the morning, but I don't really care. One day they will look back and laugh at them all- the good, the bad and the ugly.

A whole hand this year! I can't believe it! Jimmy has changed so much in the past year. He has come out of his shell just a little bit. He still lets me cuddle him and he is a bit of a momma's boy. He is becoming more and more like Jim, acting goofy and making you laugh. He loves to build and play with cars and trucks. Jimmy has yet to get a growth spurt- he's still a tiny guy.

Jimmy was very excited to wake up and see his pile of presents.

This is a Lego year. We gave him a pirate a airport set along with some army play sets and batman toys.

Jenna picked out the Joker playhouse that he really wanted. This was his favorite gift of all. He played with it all day while watching the old black and white Batman shows.

No Longer A Preschooler

A ton of emotions just hit me like a ton of bricks when I picked him up on his last day. As happy as I am for this crazy year of two kids at two different school to be over, I wasn't ready for this. He is now a Kindergartner- the time just flew by.

I am so lucky to have had Mrs Faller teacher both Jenevive and Jimmy. She is an amazing teacher. I will miss seeing her everyday. Miss Adrienne taught Jimmy in 3 & 4 year old preschool as well. She is so sweet and Jimmy loved her.

Mrs Solner is a speech therapist and also taught Jenna. She along with Mrs Faller has always been straight forward always giving the best advice as if Jimmy were their child. Jimmy picked out a little garden angel for each teacher - he was so proud to give them out.

Jim and Scott were given 4 Tiger tickets with on site parking and food vouchers and decided to take the boys for a "guys night" out. This was Jimmy's third game and Kaiden's first.

The got there a little early for some pitching and batting practice.

The highlight of the day was meeting Paws.

Kaiden and Scott

When Jimmy came home he was fired up. He talked for 10 minutes straight about the night. He had such a great time!! Another highlight for Jimmy was the carrousel. We have always dodged it before, but this time Jim took him on it. You can tell by his face that he loved it.

End Of The Year Brownie Picnic

Originally Jenevive was supposed to go the the Tiger game with Jim, but her end of the year brownie picnic ended being the same day. It was a tuff decision choosing. The girls started with a park clean up ( they had one last badge to earn ) then they had a BBQ and were given their badges and awards they earned for selling cookies. This year she sold 315 boxes- Thank You to every one who bought cookies this year!!!!!

Jen received a ton of badges, a jewelry box, bandanna, a stuffed animal-purse thingy and $60.00 in camp credit. She soon forgot all about the Tiger game.

Memorial Day Parade

This year Jimmy's baseball team had the chance to walk in the parade. I was completely surprised when Jim and Jimmy both said they would rather watch the parade then be in it. It has become our tradition to set tents out the night before and get to our site 2 hours before. We set up, snack, dodge the street vendors and watch the runners before it all starts - it's very relaxing.

Jenevive had to pose for the camera showing off her new Hello Kitty shirt.

Emily, Jimmy, Jenevive, Emily and Spencer Kaiden and Lanie walked with Julie and the Viviano float this year. Jimmy sat on the curb the entire time. His favorite part was watching the huge army tanks ride by.

Julie's work float - it won first place!

Kaiden , Lanie and Julie walked the entire parade and Jen joined them as they passed by. Jen had so much fun passing out flowers to everyone - she even saw a couple of her school friends.

After, Julie had us over for a BBQ- or as Jenna called it "the after party". We finally had nice weather and the kids played outside until dark.

WHAT'S IN THE WASH WEDNESDAY

In the past two weeks I've collected the following : an empty Sponge Bob fruit snacks wrapper, chap stick, a half dissolved lifesaver mint, a paper clip tangled with a twist tie and a dis formed Andes mint. I'm a bit curious why the chocolate Andes mint did melt.

78 cents ................................total so far $1.75

I also got the pleasure of opening the dryer and the smell just slapped me in the face. It wasn't the smell of fabric softener , but fresh out of the oven brownies-which isn't good considering it was coming from the dryer. One of the kids had a chocolate sucker which had now melted all over the inside. I had to scrape the drum to get it all off.
